Obituary for Jason R. Remaley
Jason R. Remaley, 38 of Angier, North Carolina formerly of Fairfield, PA died suddenly on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the University of North Carolina Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC.
Born March 8, 1979 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of Robert & Mary Ann (Kittinger) Remaley of Fairfield, PA.
Jason graduated from Fairfield High School in 1997 and was employed as an electrician with Kemco Corp. in Burlington, NC. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, attending country music concerts and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Jason had been a DJ for Phantom Shadow Disc Jockey Service in Shippensburg, PA for several years prior to moving to North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Jewelya M. Remaley and her mother, Frankie Denise Hardee of Angier, NC, a sister, Rebecca A. “Becca” Sayres and husband Tedd of Fairfield, a brother, Timothy James “TJ” Remaley and Megan of Taylors, SC, paternal grandparents, Harry & Vivian Remaley of Greensburg, PA, two nephews, Layton Remaley and Finley Sayres, and his girlfriend, Kim Lovett. Jason was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, J. Merle & Marie S. Kittinger.
A memorial Service to celebrate Jason’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church with Rev. Louis Nyiri, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:30-2:00 p.m. and following the Memorial Service at a reception in the church’s fellowship hall. A private interment will be held in the Fairfield Union Cemetery. The family suggests memorials in Jason’s honor to the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation, 1310 South Tryon St., Charlotte, NC 28203.
