Obituary for Jean M. Walter
Jean M. Walter, 90, Water Works Road, Gettysburg, PA who died Friday, February 26, 2016 as a result of a house fire at her home.
She was born March 14, 1925 in Washington, DC. Her husband of 60 years, John Lloyd Walter, Jr. died in 2010.
Jean was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. For a time she drove a school bus for students in the area. Jean loved TV Game shows and spent many afternoons watching them. She had a wonderful personality and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mr. Walter is survived by four sons; William L. Walter of Gettysburg, PA, Daniel J. Walter of Virginia Beach, VA, Timothy E. Walter of Gettysburg, PA, Gary M. Walter of Gettysburg, PA. She was predeceased by a son, John Christopher Walter.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Mrs. Walter will be buried in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD next to her late husband. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 415 Table Rock Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
