Reichart was a 1993 honors graduate of Bradford Area High School, where he played trumpet in the marching band. He then attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in December 1996. He was a semester ahead of his class, even though he also worked full time managing a restaurant in nearby Waterford, PA.
In 1997 Reichart moved to Des Moines to attend law school at Drake University, but after two years he left law school to pursue a full-time management position at the Hotel Fort Des Moines, where he had been working part-time. He later became vice president of Orchestrate Hospitality, which manages a variety of hotels and restaurants in the Des Moines area. In recent years he helped launch the popular Zombie Burger and Malo restaurants of which he was a co-owner.
Besides his parents, who now live in Gettysburg, PA, Reichart is survived by a brother, Dr. Daniel Reichart and his wife Lois Ann of Hillsborough, NC; a sister, Emily Catherman and her fiancé Matthew Fryar of Holly Springs, NC; one niece and three nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
