
Obituary for John A. Marthers
John A. Marthers, 60, of Waynesboro, PA died Tuesday evening, March 20, 2018 at the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born January 4, 1958 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Eberhart) Marthers. He was the husband of Grace Elaine (Baker) Marthers, of Waynesboro, PA to whom he was married to for almost 12 years.
John is survived by his three children, Joshua Marthers, of Fairfield, PA, Benjamin Marthers and his significant other Alicia Heare, of Waynesboro, PA, Charlene “Charlee” Marthers and her significant other Hunter Paulus, of Waynesboro, PA, his granddaughter, Cali Elizabeth Paulus, and his brother, Wendell Marthers, of Gettysburg, PA. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles “Chuck” Marthers and his sister Beth Ann Stapler.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM, Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Monahan Funeral Home 27 East Main St., Fairfield, PA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home, and also after the services at the Fairfield Fire Hall.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
