Obituary for John Keith Johnson
John Keith Johnson, 76, Gettysburg, PA, died suddenly on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Gettysburg Hospital.

He was born April 13, 1942 in Gettysburg, PA, the son of the late Dr. C. Harold and Nancy Keith Johnson. Keith is survived by his wife of 22 years, Regina “Regie” K. Johnson.

Keith was a graduate of Northfield Mount Herman Prep School in Mt. Herman, MA and Gettysburg College where he majored in English Literature. Following his education, Keith embarked on a career as a woodworker and sculptor. After their marriage in 1996, Keith and Regie worked together daily, meticulously, crafting and finishing rare and unique looking-glass frames and free-standing sculptures that are treasured around the country. Once health issues required Keith to stop working with wood, he turned to his passion for the written word, completing three novels. Keith was known as a true friend, a loving husband, and an animal lover. He was proud of his Koi pond and interested in art and design.

In addition to his wife, J. Keith Johnson is survived by his wife’s children; J. Courtney Doll of Walkersville, MD, and Colleen Doll Fraser of Shepherdstown, W. VA: a brother, Dr. C. Harold Johnson, Jr. of Winchester, VA; and a sister, Lindgren Lammers of Media, PA; and his constant companion, brown tabby Squeaky.

A Memorial service will be held, Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg, PA. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
