Obituary for John W. "Jack" Bream, III
John W. “Jack” Bream, III, 59 of Orrtanna, PA passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 30, 2018 on his boat at Fells Point, MD. Born March 9, 1959 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of Ruth Jeanne (Deihl) Bream of Orrtanna and the late John W. Bream, Jr. Jack was a graduate of Gettysburg High School and York College. He recently retired after working for many years with his family’s fruit business, Bream Orchard’s Inc. in Cashtown, PA. Jack served on various boards in the fruit industry during his career and enjoyed talking and working with other fruit growers about the industry. He enjoyed boating and fishing in his spare time. In addition to his mother, Jack is survived by his wife, Christine L. (Reed) Bream, a son, David J. Bream and his wife, Lindsey of Orrtanna, two brothers; Mark Bream and wife Gale of Orrtanna and Thomas Bream and wife Kelly of Gettysburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by a son, Drew W. Bream. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Flohr’s Lutheran Church, 595 Flohr’s Church Road, McKnightstown, PA with Rev. Dennis Probst, officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service and following the service at a reception in the church’s social room. Memorials in Jack’s honor can be made the Adams County Fruit Growers Association, 33 Musselman Avenue, Biglerville, PA 17307.
