Obituary for Johneta M. Yingling
Johneta M. Yingling, 79, 64 West Middle Street, Gettysburg, PA died Monday, April 16, 2018 at Genesis – Gettysburg Center.
She was born December 15, 1938 in Gettysburg, PA the daughter of the late John and Arlene (Clapsaddle) Murray. Johneta is survived by her husband of 28 years, Norm Yingling.
Johneta is a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Gettysburg, PA. She was employed for many years at the Gettysburg Area High School and also G. C. Murphy’s Department Store in downtown Gettysburg. Most recently she worked for the Gettysburg Municipal Authority, Adams County Housing Authority and the Gettysburg Homeless Shelter. She was a member of the Albert J. Lentz Post 202 American Legion Auxiliary. Johneta was a former office of the Gettysburg Moose Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Johneta is survived by two sons; Todd Stouch and his wife Kristyn of Spring Grove, PA, Ryan Stouch and his wife Laurie of Gettysburg, PA, five step-sons; Gregory Yingling and his wife Sherry of Gettysburg, PA, Stephen Yingling of Texas, Todd Yingling and his wife Angela of Gettysburg, PA, Joseph Yingling and his wife Dawn of Hanover, PA, Michael Yingling and his wife Megan of New Oxford, PA, 5 grandchildren; Eric, Andrew, Douglas, Jordan and Jesse Stouch, 9 step-grandchildren, 4 step-great grandchildren, and a sister, June Rea of New Cumberland, PA, a daughter-in-law, Wendy Rudisill of Gettysburg, PA, nieces; Dana and Lisa and nephew, Alan. She was predeceased by a son, David Stouch.
Johneta’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Genesis for their compassionate care over the past years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA with her pastor Rev. George Hebrling officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 60 East Middle Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
