
Obituary for Joseph John Lapinski
Joseph John Lapinski, 63, of Thomasville, PA died suddenly serving his Lord and his church, Saturday morning, September 10, 2016.
Born July 27, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Ann E. (Thevaneus) Lapinski.
He was the husband of Erma Mary (Klein) Lapinski, of Thomasville to whom he was married to for 20 years; they were to celebrate their 30th year together on September 21, 2016.
Joseph was a devoted member of Intersection Church in Gettysburg, PA where he served as a credential partner. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from New York University and dedicated his life to helping amputees regain their independence. He loved helping people, in the 90’s he traveled to Ethiopia on a mission to eradicate Polio and train the locals in Orthotics and was currently leading an online group at his church called “Forging Through Fears” helping people with anxiety. He was loved by all that he touched.
In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his three sons, James P. Trageser, Timothy P. Trageser, David B. Trageser, 14 grandchildren, his two sisters, Ellen Johansen, Carol Johnson, three nieces, Kristen Homsany, Heather Miller, Kelly Tubins, nephew, Brian Johnson, and several great nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Intersection Church 1980 Baltimore St., Gettysburg, PA with Pastors Jeremiah and Cori Herbert officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at 6:00-7:00 PM at the church.
