Obituary for Joyce C. Dettinburn
Joyce C. Dettinburn, 68 of Biglerville, PA passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born in Orrstown, PA on September 22, 1947 she was the daughter of Dorothy J. (Hockenberry) Ferrell of Newville, PA and the late Lester T. Ferrell.
Joyce had been employed for many years as an assistant head housekeeper for America’s Best Value Inn & Quality Inn Gettysburg Motor Lodge and as a bartender at the former Command Room and Reliance Mine in Gettysburg, PA. She enjoyed the time she spent with her daughter traveling, playing bingo, Craft Shows, trying new recipes and watching fireworks.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Shannon N. Dettinburn of Biglerville, PA, her sister, Teresa K. Coffey and husband Barry of Shippensburg, PA and the many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that she enjoyed.
