
Obituary for Judith Anne Harris
Judith Anne Harris, 81, died on July 12, 2018, at The Gardens at Gettysburg.
She was born December 16, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Charles O. and Mary Louise Harris.
She graduated from East Lansing High School in 1954 and Michigan State University in 1958. She received an MA in Social Studies at Michigan State and a Master of Library Science from the University of Michigan. She taught elementary school in Albion, Michigan, and worked as a librarian in Ames, Iowa, and Flint, Michigan. From 1976 until her death she resided in Gettysburg. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church.
She is survived by a twin brother, William O. Harris, and wife Therese, of Mentor, Ohio; sisters Carolyn Moore, and husband Maxwell, of Middletown, Ohio, and Susan Collinge, and husband William, of Gettysburg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, and a great-grandniece.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 25 West High St., in Gettysburg, on Wednesday, July 18, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. John Kuchinski, Celebrant. Viewing will take place in the church beginning at 10:00 a.m.
