June L. Smith, 65, of Taneytown, MD and formerly of Lancaster, PA died Wednesday evening, October 31, 2018 at Transitions Healthcare, Gettysburg, PA.
Born June 25, 1953 in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late Paul and Esther (Kneisley) Clerico.
June worked as a nursing assistant first in St. Petersburg, FL and then in Lancaster, PA for many years and then later worked as a store clerk at the Taneytown Food Lion.
She is survived by her two children, Robert P. Walker and his wife Amy, of Taneytown, MD and their children, Alyssa, Andrew, Amiya, and Zach, Danielle Clerico, of Bensalem, PA and her children, Tre, Tanaisha, and Jared, great grandchildren, Ariel and Jeremiah, her brother, Paul Clerico, of Mt. Joy, PA, and her sister, Louise Emich, of Lebanon, PA. She was precede in death by her sisters, Florence Mengel and Vicky Hienley.
Funeral services, being handled by the Monahan Funeral Home, will be private and at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation at abcf.org.
