Kathryn V. Hendrickson, 88, Pumping Station Road, Fairfield, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
She was born July 15, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian Duffy Walsh. Kathryn was predeceased by her husband of 50 year, John A. Hendrickson in 2001.
Mrs. Hendrickson was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a military wife who traveled the US and Europe with her husband and family. Kathryn enjoyed reading, traveling and gardening.
Mrs. Hendrickson is survived by four children; Karen H. Kachur and her husband Danny of Warrenton, VA, John A. Hendrickson and his wife Peggy of Heathsville, VA, Teresa A. Hendrickson of Greenbelt, MD, Glenn A. Hendrickson of Fairfield, PA, three grandchildren; John A. Hendrickson, Jr. and his wife Torie, Jeremy Hendrickson and his wife Amanda, Sarah Kile, six great grandchildren; Cole, Johnny, Raegan, Brittney Ann, Jacob, Colton, and Maddie, two brothers; John Walsh of Avalon, NJ, Paul Walsh of Queens, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fairfield, PA with Fr. Peter DiTomasso celebrant. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 North Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403 or your local ASPCA.
