Obituary for Kathy Jean Adams
Kathy Jean Adams, 66, Gettysburg, PA died suddenly on March 11, 2016 at her home.
She was born June 15, 1949 in Hershey, PA the daughter of Warren “Bud” Nelson Plott of Hummelstown, PA and the late Betty Jean Espenshade. Kathy’s husband, Galen R. Adams died in 1996.
Mrs. Adams was a member of Gettysburg Presbyterian Church. In the early part of her career she worked in the accounting department of several companies. After the death of her husband she became a Real Estate Agent in Adams County working most recently for Keller – Williams Real Estate. Kathy was a gifted painter and writer especially notorious for her Christmas letters. She greatly enjoyed the theatre, antiquing, golfing, and was active in the area with writing, poetry, and photography.
Mrs. Adams is survived by a daughter, Jessica Adams of Bethesda, MD, a son, Cameron Adams of Bethesda, MD, her father Warren Plott, and a half-brother, Donald Pugliese.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA at 11:00 AM with Rev. Louis Nyiri officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
