Kenneth E. Williams, Jr, age 90, of New Oxford entered peacefully into God’s eternal care on October 21, 2024.
Kenneth was born September 15, 1934, in Gettysburg, Adams County, the son of the late Kenneth E. Williams, Sr. and Mabel E. (Rice) Williams. He was a 1952 graduate of the Gettysburg Area High School and was employed by PPG Industries in Carlisle, PA.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served in the 4th Armored Division as a Radio Operator in Germany from 1957 to 1959, also serving 4 years in the Army Reserve until 1963.
A member of the American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville, he served as Chaplain for the Legion and the Honor Guard, as well as on the Allied Veterans Honor Guard. He was also a member of the Cashtown Community Fire Department, the Adams County Fish and Game Association, and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis Catholic Church in Gettysburg.
He is survived by his son, Edward P. Williams of Harrisburg, his daughter Sandra L. Williams of Tampa, Florida, and grandchildren Brett P. Williams of Seattle, Washington, and Jordan Williams Nanchung, of Winchester, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice M. McDannell Williams and siblings Ruby I. Parr and Gene R. Williams.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2024, Noon at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 1095 Church Road, Orrtanna, PA, with Rev. Msgr. Bill Richardson celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, November 2nd from 11:00 AM until Noon.
