Obituary for Kevin Scott Johnson
Kevin Scott Johnson, 53, of Gettysburg, PA died Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Gettysburg, PA.
Born September 13, 1963 in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Lawrence R. & Phyllis D. (Hankey) Johnson.
Kevin was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had been employed for many years with Valley Pest Control, the past year he worked for Dr. Shah at the Gettysburg Cancer Center as a transporter and handyman. He enjoyed the arts, Jazz and Rock ‘n Roll music, working on cars and was an avid Oakland Raider fan. Kevin was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his three children; Kylle Johnson of Waynesboro, PA, Tanya Johnson and fiancé Zach Miley of Chambersburg, PA and Sierra Johnson and husband Keith of Chambersburg, six grandchildren, two brothers; Larry Johnson and fiancé Jennifer Stultz of Gettysburg and Darryl Johnson and wife Vanessa of Gettysburg, two sisters; Marsha Williams and husband Doug of Gettysburg and Tasha Johnson of Gettysburg, three nieces and seven nephews. Kevin was also survived by the love of his life and longtime companion, Joan Chapman of Gettysburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA with Rev. Victor Johnson, officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
