Obituary for Kim M. Dick
Kim M. Dick, age 62, of Gettysburg, passed away surrounded by family and friends on August 1, 2018, at the Gettysburg Hospital. After a long fight with Pancreatic Cancer, she passed away peacefully.
Born January 3, 1956, in Gettysburg, PA to the late Francis and Miriam Sanders, she attended both Delone Catholic School and Gettysburg High School. Throughout her life she provided unwavering love and care for young children while at home and by spending over twenty-three years as an infant caregiver at St. James Child Care Center.
Kim will be lovingly remembered by her husband Scott Dick, sons Brandon Dillon (Sarah), Jeremy Dillon, and Ryan Dillon (Ashlee), grandchildren Bryce, Briley, Colin, and Claire, stepmother Milagros “Ging” Sanders, brothers Jerry Sanders (Chris) and Chuck Sanders (Tina), and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Randy Sanders.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 11 at 9:30 am at St. Francis Xavier Historical Church, 25 West High St., Gettysburg, PA. Family members will welcome loved ones from 8:30-9:30 am. Following the service there will be a luncheon at St. James Lutheran Church, 109 York Street in Gettysburg. The Monahan Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements and online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. James Child Care Center, 109 York St., Gettysburg, PA 17325.
