Obituary for Kirk Alan Erickson
Kirk Alan Erickson. 63, of Fairfield, PA formerly of McLean, VA passed away at the York Hospital on Monday, June 12, 2017.
Born November 17, 1953 in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of the late Alfred Clayton and Kathleen Lucille (Brumm) Erickson.
Kirk was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War. He earned a degree in Bio-Medical Engineering from Broward County Community College and served as a project engineer with General Electric’s Medical Equipment Division until his retirement in 2014. Kirk enjoyed time spent with his family, sailing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Susan Wood Erickson, a son, Jon A. Erickson and wife Brandi of Bristow, VA, a daughter, Laura Beth Krulla and husband Wesley of Manassas, VA, three grandchildren; Kahlan, Nickalus and Otto, a brother, Eric Erickson and a sister, Katrina Wilkinson.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2107 with a brief service at 5:00 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA.
