
Obituary for Lester R. Miller
Lester R. Miller, 64 of Gettysburg, PA passed away at the Gettysburg Hospital on Thursday, November 2, 2017.
Born April 15, 1953 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Donald F. & Clara A. (Jeffcoat) Miller.
Lester had been employed by the Shenango Steel Co. in Gettysburg for many years. He was a member, past president and trustee at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1562 in Gettysburg, PA and was a member of American Legion Post #202 in Gettysburg. Lester enjoyed watching pro wrestling, Penn State Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Orioles.
Lester is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy A. (Long) Miller, two daughters; Tess Torgerson and husband Andy of Biglerville, PA and Jessie Clapsadle and husband Daniel of Dallastown, PA, six grandchildren; Rebecca, Andrew and Clara Moore, Denver and Madison Clapsadle and Dillon Hartlaub, one great grandchild, Bailey Wolfe, two sisters; Joann Groft and Connie Jean Hockensmith both of New Oxford, PA, a brother, Bruce Miller of Aspers, PA and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Eric E. Miller and three brothers; Donald Miller, Jr., William Miller, Sr., and Bernard Miller, Sr.
A Viewing for Lester will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
