Obituary for Linda L. Keller
Linda L. Keller, 72, 1911 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg, PA, died Monday evening, April 4, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born June 3, 1943, in Gettysburg, PA, the daughter of the late John A. and Gladys Miller Hull. Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Walter H. Keller.
Mrs. Keller was an active member of Benders Lutheran Church in Biglerville where she sang in the choir and served on Church Council. She was a 1961 graduate of Gettysburg High School and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Shippensburg University. For 35 years she taught at Eisenhower Elementary School in Gettysburg retiring in 2003. Linda was a member of PASR and a volunteer at the Gettysburg Lutheran Home Auxiliary. She loved shopping with her family and enjoyed their trips to the beach. She was an avid reader and bridge player. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by a son, Dwayne Keller and his wife, Donna Partin of Mechanicsburg, PA, a daughter, Maura Keller and her husband, Jeff Deppen of New Cumberland, PA, three grandchildren; Drew W. Keller, Demi E. Keller, Emily F. Deppen, two step-grandchildren; Jeremy Deppen, Hannah Deppen, two sisters; Susanne H. Beily and her husband, Alan of Hanover, PA, Rhonda H. Kershner and her husband, Brian Sinnett of Gettysburg, PA, and a brother, David A. Hull of Gettysburg, PA.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at Benders Lutheran Church, Biglerville, PA at 11:00 AM with Rev. Susan McCarthy officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 7th at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Benders Lutheran Church, 1385 Rentzel Road, Biglerville, PA 17307 or Dream Partnership Scholarship Fund, 44 South 38th Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011 or Dreampartnership.org.
