Obituary for Linda Mumma
Linda Mumma, 81, Hanover, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at the Hanover Hospital.
She was born August 20, 1939 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Oxman Bessin. Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Michael Mumma.
Linda graduated from Forest Park High School in Baltimore, MD. For many years she was an Administrative Assistant for the Director of the Baltimore Zoo and later for the Director of the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Following her marriage she and her husband owned and operated Mumma Vending Company in Baltimore for 20 years. After she moved to the Hanover area, Linda became very involved with rescuing unwanted cats and dogs. Her home was filled with her beloved pets that she had rescued and loved so very much.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by a daughter, Judith Ellen Swietkoski of Hanover, PA, a son, Michael Todd Harris of Hanover, PA three grandchildren; Brandi Berwager and her husband Shawn, Amber Canup and her husband Chad, Scarlett Harris, seven great grandchildren; Landen, Camdyn, Brycen, Allysen, Carsen, Eden, and Gabriel. Linda was predeceased by a son, Bruce Neil Ullman, a granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Ullman and a son-in-law, Edward Swietkoski.
Graveside funeral services will take place at Evergreen Cemetery on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
