Lorena F. Bello, 92, Gettysburg died peacefully on Friday, December 14, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born September 14, 1926 in Eckhart Mines, MD the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Mele Toffon. Her husband, Carmine Bello died in 1993.
Mrs. Bello was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Gettysburg and formerly at St. James Catholic Church, Mt. Rainier, MD. She was well known for her Italian Meatballs.
Lorena is survived by three children; Vince Bello and his wife Jackie of Middletown, MD, Steven Bello and his wife Sue of Gettysburg, PA, Donna Haczewski and her husband Joseph of Gettysburg, PA, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters; Michael Scarpelli, Adolph Scarpelli, Alford Toffon, and Louise Toffon.
Graveside memorial services will be held, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind at guidingeyes.org. Online obituary and condolences available at monahanfuneralhome.com.
