Obituary for Lou F. Brady
Lou F. Brady, 92 of Biglerville, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Paramount Senior Living in Fayetteville, PA after a long illness.
Born October 30, 1925 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer G. & Ruth G. (Haulman) Strock. Lou was predeceased by her husband, Robert P. Brady, who died in 1991.
Lou was a 1946 graduate of Germantown Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA. She continued her career in nursing at the Chambersburg Hospital for ten years, before stopping to raise her three sons. Lou spent the next several years working in the Biglerville High School Cafeteria, before returning to her nursing career at the Gettysburg Hospital until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Biglerville, Eastern Star #342 and Samaria Shrine #43 both of Chambersburg.
Lou is survived by her three sons; Robert P. Brady and wife Donna of Dillsburg, PA, Scott A. Brady and wife Kim of Biglerville, and Howard E. “Skip” Brady of Orrtanna, PA, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her six siblings.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with Pastor Gary Fanus, officiating. Interment will be in the Biglerville Cemetery. A Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-2 p.m.
