Obituary for Louetta S. Deardorff
Louetta S. Deardorff, 94, Mt. Carmel Road, Orrtanna, PA died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville, PA.
She was born February 3, 1922 in Orrtanna, PA the daughter of the late Edward and Cora Fissel Sharrah. Her husband Ross J. Deardorff died in 1984.
Mr. Deardorff was a member of Orrtanna United Methodist Church. For a time she was employed at Knouse Foods and later at Hickory Bridge Farm. Early in her life she worked at the Gettysburg Motor Lodge. Louetta enjoyed reading, embroidery, family card games and babysitting.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Deardorff was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Deardorff, two sisters; Margaret Riggeal, Hazel Fitz, two brothers; Richard Sharrah and Russell Sharrah.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg at 10:00 AM with Rev. Kimberly Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Flohs Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Orrtanna United Methodist Church, 1717 Carrolls Tract Road, Orrtanna, PA 17353 or Heartland Hospice, 1200 Walnut Bottom Road, Suite 302, Carlisle, PA 17015.
