
Obituary for Lucy V. (Moritz) Broughton
Lucy Victoria (Moritz) Broughton, 75, of Gettysburg, PA went eternally to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Gettysburg Center.
Born September 11, 1943 in Gettysburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Earl and Bertha (Shindledecker) Moritz. She was the wife of the late William Broughton who died in 2014.
Mrs. Broughton worked at Kennie’s Market in the customer service for over 20 years. She was a member of the Gettysburg Eagles, the Gettysburg American Legion and the Fairfield Amvets.
Lucy is survived by her three children, William Broughton, of Greenville, TX, Katherine Sharrah, of Gettysburg, PA, William Congleton, of Gettysburg, PA, her eight grandchildren, Shannon Congleton, Jessica Congleton, Benjamin Broughton, Kenneth Broughton, Seth Broughton, McKenna Baldwin, Rachel Hobbs, Kelli Sharrah, her two great grandchildren, Joshua Hobbs, Jr., Leah Hobbs, her sister, Linda Bumgardner, of Taneytown, MD, and her brother, Gary Moritz, of Gettysburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Eleanor Stallsmith, Patricia Small, Janet Fissel, and her brother, Earl Moritz.
A graveside service for Lucy will be held 2:30 PM, Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1390 Chambersburg Rd., Gettysburg, PA with Rev. Walter Barlow officiating.
