Obituary for Marvin Lee Thomas
Marvin Lee Thomas Sr., 45, of Gettysburg, PA passed away on March 19, 2016 from severe coronary heart disease.
Marvin was born in Baltimore, MD on December 16, 1970 to Jean Shelton and the late Richard Thomas Jr. Marvin graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology with an Associate’s Degree in autobody repair. He continued his education at Diving Academy International to pursue a career in underwater welding. Marvin was a well-known member of the community and loved by many. He was known for his sparkling smile and charismatic personality. In addition to filling the room with laughter, Marvin enjoyed hanging out with his dog, Bruno, spending time with family and friends, and being the life of the party.
Marvin is survived by his two children Marvin Thomas Jr. and Mackenzie Thomas; three siblings, Richard Warfield, Michael Thomas, and Michelle Kennedy; three nephews and four nieces, two great nieces and two great nephews.
There will be a memorial service on Sunday, April 3rd at the Gettysburg Fire Hall at 12pm with a time of fellowship to follow until 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the memorial fund, which will be put toward MJ and Mackenzie’s education.
