
Obituary for Mary Jean Lambert
Mary Jean Lambert, 86, of Staunton, VA and formerly of Gettysburg, PA, died peacefully Sunday, October 29, 2017.
She was born August 30, 1931 in Virginia Mills, PA, the daughter of the late Roy Edward and Dora Ethel Metz.
Mary Jean was a devoted member of Mt. Joy Lutheran Church. For over 25 years, Mary Jean was a CNA for Michael Manor Nursing Home. After retiring from Michael Manor, Mary Jean worked part-time at The Paper Factory at the Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg.
Mary Jean is survived by two sons: George S. Lambert, Jr. and his wife Geraldine of Whispering Pines, NC; Craig L. Lambert and his wife Lisa of Gettysburg, PA; two daughters: Bonnie K. Brown of Staunton, VA; Debra J. White and her companion Anthony Burner of Luray, VA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Jessica Bennett, Allison Lambert, Joshua White, Bradley Brown, Sebastian Walling, Conner Lambert, Cole Lambert, 6 great-grandchildren: Murphy Bennett, Cameron Bair, Grace Bennett, Carter White, Olivia Bennett, Mason Brown; a brother: Ronald R. Metz of Oakton, VA and two sisters: Nancy A. Gelwicks of Reisterstown, MD and Joy E. Naylor of Gettysburg, PA. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas E. Metz.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at Mt. Joy Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Faye Snyder and Pastor Peter Naschke officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery, Fairfield, PA. There will be time for visitation on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg, PA from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
