
Obituary for Maryann S. Craver
Maryann S. Craver, 85, Sunset Avenue, Gettysburg, PA died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at her home surrounded by her daughters.
Mrs. Craver was born April 7, 1934 in Jim Thorpe, PA the daughter of the late Francis A. and Emma Sipe Shearer. Her husband, Douglas M. Craver died in 1983.
Mrs. Craver was a member of St. James Lutheran Church where she was active in the Social Ministry Committee. Maryann was a graduate of Gettysburg College. For many years she was a teacher while accompanying her Army husband from base to base. Mrs. Craver enjoyed traveling with family, wildlife and hiking.
Maryann is survived by two daughters; Catherine Lemley and her husband Paul of Gettysburg, PA, Cynthia Reimel and her husband Paul of Raleigh, NC, four grandchildren; Fi Geist, Phillip Lemley, Emma Craver, Victoria Craver, and a sister, Cynthia Johnson of Newtown, PA.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family invites Maryann’s friends from the local community to visit with them at Monahan Funeral Home on Friday, 10 May between 4-6 PM to share condolences.
