Mazie J. Shriner, 92, Table Rock Road, Gettysburg, PA died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Transitions, Gettysburg, PA.
She was born September 21, 1924 in Fairfield, PA. Her husband Lawrence A. Shriner died in 1983.
Mazie was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. In her early years she worked as a seamstress but for 14 years she was employed as a Hostess at McDonalds on Steinwehr Avenue in Gettysburg. But most of all she loved her time spent with her family.
Mrs. Shriner is survived by six children; Cecelia J. Miller and her husband Joseph of Gettysburg, PA, Mark Shriner of Biglerville, PA, Lawrence J. Shriner of Gettysburg, PA, Dennis C. Shriner and his wife Jackie of Gettysburg, PA, Virginia Loose and her husband John of Gettysburg, PA, Ann Peters and her husband Joseph of Biglerville, PA, eight grandchildren; Bryan, Justin, Nicole, Eric, Ann, Stephanie, Steven, Ryan, fifteen great grandchildren; Kyla, Courtney, Ariya, Tyler, Hailey, Addyson, Brody, Lily, Delainey, Alexis, Kingston, Tyson, Taylor, Peyton, Preston. Mazie was predeceased by a son, James Shriner, two grandsons; Ronald Miller, Corey Miller and a half-sister, Pauline Miller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, High Street, Gettysburg with Fr. John Kuchinski celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Fairfield, PA. There will be a viewing at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass.
