Obituary for Merwyn A. Keilholtz
Merwyn A. Keilholtz, 94, of Gettysburg, PA died Saturday evening, December 17, 2016 at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg, PA.
Born March 17, 1922 in Emmitsburg ,MD he was the son of the late Andrew and Carrie (Ohler) Keilholtz. He was the husband of the late Evelyn R. (Redding) Keilholtz.
Mr. Keilholtz was a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army Air Corp. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was employed in the construction field. In his free time he enjoyed wood working, bird watching, and helping his family.
Merwyn is survived by his two daughters, Joyce Parry (and her husband Jack), of Mechanicsburg, PA, Jean Keilholtz, of Camp Hill, PA, two grandchildren, Greg Keilholtz (and his wife Sarah),and Kerry Banks, two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Hannah Keilholtz, and one brother, Lloyd Keilholtz, of Mesa, AZ. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Keilholtz, and two brothers, Maynard Keilholtz and Charles Keilholtz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 25 West High St., Gettysburg, PA. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service, Thursday at the church. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
