Michael A. Vallone, 66, of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Thursday evening, May 25, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. His courage and humor helped him during this difficult process.
Born February 14, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Michael G. and Lillian (Rakebrandt) Vallone. Beloved brother of Donna Vallone and brother-in-law, Edward Salsberg of Washington, DC.
Michael pursued his interest and passion for Civil War history by moving to Gettysburg where he served as a Licensed Battlefield Guide for many years. He was also an avid guitar and music enthusiast, enjoying playing the guitar till the very end.
