Obituary for Michael H. Wilt, Sr.
Michael H. Wilt, Sr., 68, York Springs, PA died Tuesday November 1, 2016 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
He was born November 19, 1947 in Gettysburg, PA the son of the late LeRoy and Ella Trostle Wilt.
Mr. Wilt was employed with Harley- Davidson, Inc. in York, PA for 37 years as a truck driver. He was a member of the York Racing Club and was a Sprint Car enthusiast, helping and sponsoring several teams in the area. Mike enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting and his gun collection. But most of all he loved time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Wilt is survived by two sons; Michael H. Wilt, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Gettysburg, PA, Eric A. Wilt and his wife Sheryl of Arendtsville, PA, eight grandchildren; Hannah, Devin, Tyler, Megan, Brandon, Miranda, Tanner, Rachel, two sisters; Elva O’Hara of York Springs, PA, Rosemary Williams of Biglerville, PA, a brother, David Wilt and his wife Wilma of York Springs, PA. He was predeceased by a brother, LeRoy Wilt.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Heidlersburg Fire Hall, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Garry Sheaffer officiating. There will be a viewing at the Fire Hall on Saturday from Noon till 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, PO Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502.
