
Obituary for Patricia Ann Brandstetter
Patricia Ann Brandstetter resident of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on November 4, 2017.
She was born 1941 in NY City and went to school there. At 17 her family moved to Peekskill, NY where she finished high school. She graduated from Oneonta College in hopes of being a teacher. She taught one year in Peekskill and then moved to Islip, Long Island where she taught for over 20 years. She loved her students and they loved her. Many came back years later to see her.
She is pre-deceased by her husband, Melville (Dutch) Brandstetter, also a teacher. Upon retirement they purchased a farm outside Gettysburg, PA which displayed many of their treasures (antiques). They enjoyed many happy years there as well as traveling and antiquing. In later years, they bought a house in Port Charlotte, FL where they resided the majority of the year.
Pat is survived by her sisters Annette and Christine and her brother Jim. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Pat was a warm and happy person who enjoyed the company of her family and friends. She took up porcelain painting and did many beautiful pieces for friends and relatives. We will miss her greatly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, July 14th at 11am at St. Ignatius Loyola Church at 1095 Church Rd in Orrtanna, Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
