Paul J. Macuirles, 79, of Fairfield, PA passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 6, 1945 in Amsterdam, New York, the son of the late John and Matilda (Ochniak) Macuirles. Paul is survived by his wife, Clara (Mazur) Macuirles; a son, Mark Macuirles of Glen Burnie, MD; and a sister, Louise Macuirles of Clifton Park, NY.
Paul was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fairfield, PA. He earned an AAS in Engineering Science at Hudson Valley Community College, a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and a MSEE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. For most of his career he was employed by the federal government at Fort Meade. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, 11AM, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fairfield, PA. A visitation will precede the mass beginning at 10:30AM where the family will receive friends. Interment will immediately follow the mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 256 Tract Rd, Fairfield, PA 17320.
