Obituary for Phyllis H. Kitzmiller
Phyllis H. Kitzmiller, 86, Gettysburg, PA died Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Transitions Healthcare.
She was born November 14, 1932 in Franklin Township, Adams County, PA the daughter of the late Melvin and Anna Lentz Herring. Phyllis’s husband, Charles R. Kitzmiller died in 2017.
Mrs. Kitzmiller was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Early in her life she worked in the Adams County Commissioners office but for 37 years she worked for Knouse Foods until her retirement. She was a member of the Cashtown Fire Company Auxiliary, the Cashtown Senior Citizens and the American Legion Post 202 Auxiliary. But most of all Phyllis loved being with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Phyllis was survived by a daughter, Cindy Ford and her husband Tom of Gettysburg, PA, two granddaughters; Kristi A. Cramer and her husband Jack of Cashtown, PA, Tara M. Reed and her husband Jim of Gettysburg, PA, four great grandchildren; Jayden Cramer, Madison Cramer, Anna Grace Reed and Emma James Reed.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM from St. James Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Allwein officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 109 York Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
