Obituary for Phyllis M. Morelock
Phyllis M. Morelock, 86, 371 Park Street, Gettysburg, PA died Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
She was born December 29, 1931 in Abbottstown, PA the daughter of the late George and Blanche Freed Hoffheins. Her husband, Bradley Morelock died in 2017.
Phyllis was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Gettysburg. For 38 years she was employed at Howard Johnson’s Motor Lodge in Gettysburg as a clerk and bookkeeper. She was also very active in the former Gettysburg Travel Council. Following her retirement she worked for a period of time in the management office at the Gettysburg Outlets. She enjoyed camping with her husband and son.
Mr. Morelock is survived by a son, Alan Morelock of Gettysburg, PA, three grandsons; Bryan Morelock of Gettysburg, PA, Andrew J. “AJ” Morelock and his wife Nikki and their son Carson of Shippensburg, PA and Maximilian Morelock and his wife Jodie and their daughter Sydney of Mechanicsburg, PA. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters; Dale Hoffheins, Anna Hoffheins George, Gerald Hoffheins, Garry Hoffheins.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. James Lutheran Church, Gettysburg, PA with Rev. Michael Allwein officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Abbottstown, PA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 31st at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 North Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
