Obituary for Phyllis Mae Bream
Phyllis Mae (Lawver) Bream, 89, formerly of Fairfield, PA died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home at Utz Terrace, Hanover, PA.
Born October 28, 1928 in Gettysburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Hazel (Rebert) Lawver. She was the wife of the late Harry L. Bream who passed in 1993.
Mrs. Bream was a member of Flohr’s Lutheran Church, McKnightstown, PA. She served as school secretary in the Fairfield School District for a number of years. She also, along with her husband, owned and operated Bream’s Store in Cashtown for many years. After retiring from the Fairfield School District she served as a personal caregiver for 15 years.
Phyllis is survived by her two children, Deborah K. Prior and her husband James, of Hanover, PA, Larry R. Bream and his wife Judith, of Martinsville, NJ, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Burton Lawver and Edwina Brandon.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Flohr’s Lutheran Church, 595 Flohr’s Church Rd., McKnightstown, PA with Rev. Dennis Probst officiating. Burial will be in Flohr’s Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the services, Tuesday morning at the church.
