Obituary for Rae S. Heintzelman
Rae S. Heintzelman, 89, formerly of Gettysburg, PA, died Wednesday evening, October 17, 2018 at Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD.
Born January 18, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Raymond “Sarge” and Annie (Kramer) Strohm. She was the wife of the late J. Richard Heintzelman who died in 2002.
Mrs. Heintzelman was a 1947 graduate of Gettysburg High School and attended Gettysburg College.
Rae is survived by her three children, Wendy R. Matuszky and her husband Andy, of Monrovia, MD, Wade R. Heintzelman, of Bethesda, MD, Webb R. Heintzelman and his wife Patti, of Middleton, MA, three grandsons, Jack R. Heintzelman, Steven J. Heintzelman, Benjamin K. Heintzelman, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the services Sunday morning at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
