
Obituary for Ray C. Hubbard
Ray C. Hubbard, 90, of Gettysburg, PA died Saturday evening, July 7, 2018 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
Born July 18, 1927 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of the late Fred and Hulda (Hess) Hubbard.
Ray was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during Korean War. He worked at various places throughout the area, including, Gettysburg College; York Shipley; Penn Paper, Hanover, PA; Lutheran Seminary; Craft Light, Littlestown; and Emerco, Hanover. Ray was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed watching all the games on TV.
He is survived by his sister, Lorene Hubbard, of Gettysburg, PA, a brother, Donald Hubbard of Gettysburg and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Werdebaugh, and his three brothers, Clyde Hubbard, Frederick Hubbard, and Robert Hubbard.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA with Rev. Michael Allwein officiating. Burial with full military honors presented by the Adams County Allied Veteran will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home.
