Obituary for Raymond "Leo" Robertson
Raymond “Leo” Robertson, 72, of Emmitsburg, MD died Saturday morning, March 26, 2016 at the York Hospital.
Born February 16, 1944 in Green Ridge, MD he was the son of the late Charles Vernon and Elizabeth Rose (Reckley) Robertson. He was the husband of Patsy (Toddes) Robertson of Emmitsburg, MD to whom he was married to for 20 years.
Mr. Robertson worked maintenance for the town of Emmitsburg for many years. He was known and loved by everyone he met. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his favorite thing was to spend time with his family, especially his grandkids.
In addition to his wife, Leo is survived by his three children, Robin Lynn Watson, of Brunswick, MD, Stephanie Robertson, of Richmond, VA, James Leo Robertson, of Frederick, MD, a step-son, Ronnie Toddes, of Emmitsburg, MD, his sister, Eileen Waesche, of Thurmont , MD, daughter-in-law, Gail Foster, of Point of Rocks, MD, mother-in-law, Eleanor Toddes, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Robertson, a brother, Charles “Eddie” Robertson, two sisters, Othella “Tilly” Newcomer and Valetta “DeDee” Lewis. He will be especially remembered by his friend, Charlie Harbaugh, special grandkids, Kyle, David and Nathan Toddes, and a niece, Margo Forrest.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 E. Main St., Fairfield, PA. Burial will be in the Jacob’s Church Cemetery, Fountaindale, PA. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
