Obituary for Rebecca J. Toddes
Rebecca “Becca” J. Toddes, age 58, of Arendtsville, PA, entered into peaceful rest on Friday, December 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by the love of her family.

Becca was born on November 26, 1958 the daughter of Richard “Dick” and Jane Felix Redding, and grew up in Gettysburg, Pa. She was a 1976 graduate of Gettysburg High School. Becca married the love of her life, Michael D. Toddes in 1978. The couple settled in Arendtsville in the late 1980’s where they raised their two children Jess and Josh. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She was a dedicated and hard worker. She was employed as a secretary at Letterkenny Army Depot, and after spending many years at home raising her children, worked as a medical secretary for Dermatology Associates. She later continued her employment as an Administrative Assistant for Wellspan Rehab and Adams County ENT.

Becca was a devoted and loving mother. She was most proud of her family and was overjoyed to become a “Nana” to her 3 grandchildren. Becca loved holidays and get-togethers; her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved spending time at home, landscaping, and family vacations at the beach.

Becca was the beloved wife of Michael D. Toddes, devoted mother of Jessica Burkolder and fiancé Christopher Pascoe of Ephrata, Joshua Toddes and his wife Christi of New Holland. She was the loving “Nana” of Mackenzie Toddes (13), Quinn Burkholder (10) and Brooks Pascoe (2), a sister, Barbara A. Klunk and her husband Stephen of Hanover, PA, two brothers; Richard T. Redding and his wife Karen of Gettysburg, PA, Daniel J. Redding of Virginia, a mother-in-law, Eleanor Toddes, and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Redding. She was predeceased by a brother, Tom Redding.

Becca remained strong and courageous in her battle until her final moments. She was known for her loving, caring and faithful nature which touched everyone she met. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her… “hope lives on and love remains.”

A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM from Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30 until the time of the service.
