Obituary for Richard L. Richards
Richard L. Richards, 70 of Altoona, PA formerly of Gettysburg, PA died suddenly on Monday, February 21, 2022 at VCU Health New Kent Hospital in Virginia. Born May 15, 1951 in Tampa, FL, he was the son of the late Doris (Bowers) & Howard Richards. Richard is survived by his wife, Sharon A. (Panza) Richards, three daughters, Lisa Richards Wantz (David) of Gettysburg, PA , Maria Richards of Carlisle, PA and Kristina Micali of Altoona, PA, a son Jeffrey D. Richards (Kendra) of Biglerville, PA, fifteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a sister, Doris Jane Pietz (Ron) of Pittsburgh, PA . Richard was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 5, at the funeral home. Military Honors will be provided by the Adams County Allied Veterans.
