Obituary for Robert D. Fritts
Robert D. Fritts, 79, of Waynesboro, PA died Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2017 at the Quincy Village.
Born August 21, 1937 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Marjorie (Darling) Fritts. He was the husband of Patricia (Marks) Fritts of Waynesboro to whom he has been married to for 56 years.
Mr. Fritts worked as a government draftsman for NSWC in White Oak, MD and Dahlgran, VA. He loved to spend time at Calvert Cliffs on the Chesapeake Bay. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and gardening.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his two children, Deborah Sebak and her husband John, of Gibsonia, PA, Robert Fritts and his wife Edna, of Fairfield, PA, five grandchildren, Robert Fritts, Shaun Fritts, Ella Fritts, Jason Sebak, Jessica Sebak, a step-granddaughter, Ysabella Japson, and two sisters, Marian Jefferson and her husband Alan, of Florida, and Diane Powell and her husband James, of Bethesda, MD. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Fritts.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 East Main St., Fairfield, PA with Chaplain Justin Isbister officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service Monday morning at the funeral home. An additional service will be held 12:30 PM, Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the Welcome Grove Baptist Church, Montross, VA. Interment will be in the Welcome Grove Baptist Cemetery.
