
Obituary for Robert E. Keefer, Sr.
Robert E. Keefer, Sr., 66, of Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, PA passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family and his pets, Axel and Buttercup.
He was born January 10, 1954 in Shippensburg, PA. He was the son of the late Jacob and Bryle Bowling Keefer.
Bob graduated from Biglerville High School in the Class of 1972. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. For several years, he was employed at the Gettysburg Municipal Authority, and later at Kennies Market and Weis Market. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outside. He also enjoyed time with his family.
Robert Keefer is survived by a son, Robert E. Keefer, Jr. of York, PA, a daughter, Brianna Keefer of Gettysburg, PA, five grandchildren; Caitlin Keefer, Autumn Keefer, Annabellah Keefer, Avarie Keefer, Orynn Church, a sister, Martha Carey of Gettysburg, PA and a niece, Danielle Carey. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Keefer.
A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM from Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Cance. Society.
