Robert G. “Gene” Wertz, 64 of Gettysburg, PA died Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg.
Born in Lancaster, PA on July 31, 1952, he was the son of the late John & Mary (Polaski) Wertz.
Gene was a veteran on the Vietnam War serving with the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Strasburg, PA Sportsman’s Club.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Kay (Baker) Wertz, three sons; Robert G. Wertz, Jr., Clifford W. Wertz both of Littlestown, PA and Noah J. Hess of Gettysburg, two sisters; Maryanne Miller and Michelle Wertz. Gene was predeceased by two brothers; Mart Wertz and Chuck Wertz.
