Obituary for Robert W. Moore, Jr.
Robert W. Moore, Jr., 75, of Fairfield, PA died Friday evening, March 23, 2018 at the York Hospital.
Born January 5, 1943 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of the late Robert W. Moore, Sr. and Sarah (Houpt) Moore. He was the husband of Ann (Sanders) Moore, of Fairfield, PA to whom he was married for 52 years.
Mr. Moore was a Veteran of the United States Navy. After the military, he went on to work as a purchasing manager for various local companies. He then went on to work as the manager of several United States Army Commissaries. After retiring, he continued working part-time at Jubilee Foods in Emmitsburg, MD. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed music, gardening, traveling, and going to casinos and movies.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his two sons, Todd Moore and his wife Jen, of Finksburg, MD, Steven Moore and his wife Laura, of Chicago, IL, his four grandchildren, Jessica, Tristan, Aidan, Sara, and his sister, Freda Welsh, of Chambersburg, PA.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 East Main St., Fairfield, PA. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com. In keeping with his wishes, a private memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
