Ronald Eugene Doaks, 81 was a pillar of his hometown Gettysburg, PA where he was born and attended and graduated Gettysburg areas schools. He was a superb all around athlete, a hunter, a music lover and he worked and retired from Sprint/ United telephone company. After retirement he continued working for the Gettysburg Recreation Department where he could be seen driving around in his golf cart...everywhere...daily. Among many of his great loves, some we won't mention :) were his beloved Chicago Bears and he was a devoted, diehard Michigan Wolverines fan and flies their flag to this day!
As the Patriarch of his family which includes his Father, Clarence Doaks (deceased), Mother, Lillian Doaks (deceased), a brother Donnie Doaks (Harrisburg), sister Kathy Williams (Harrisburg ) his children Tasha Doaks Pryor (Indianapolis), Gerrid Doaks, (Gettysburg), his son Tarmon Doaks and wife Cynthia Folson Doaks, (Indianapolis), and daughter Michelle Dixon (Waynesboro, PA). He also leaves 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 5 great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones across the nation.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. A Celebration of Life will begin at 4:00 PM at the Charles Sterner Building on the grounds of the Gettysburg Recreation Park. Interment will be private.
