Obituary for Roy "Bill" Fox
Roy “Bill” Fox, 71, of Gettysburg, PA died Thursday afternoon, July 7, 2016 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
Born August 26, 1944 in De Ridder, LA he was the son of the late Glen and Dorothy (Kochel) Fox. He was the loving husband of Joan M. (Beard) Fox of Gettysburg to who he was married to for 43 years.
Mr. Fox was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Gettysburg. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving from 1969-1971 during the Vietnam Era. Bill was the owner and operator of his drywall contracting business in Gettysburg for many years. In his free time he enjoyed tinkering with old cars from the 1950’s.
In addition to his wife Bill is survived by his two children, Tracie M. Fox, of Gettysburg, Brian W. Fox and his wife Stacey, of East Berlin, two grandchildren, Chloe R. Fox, Henry M. Fox, two sisters, Patty Hardy, of Bonneauville, Linda Keller, of Phoenix, AZ, as well as nieces and nephews, and a special niece, Cindy M. Lindsey and her husband Justin, of Phoenix, AZ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, July 11, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 25 West High St., Gettysburg with Fr. Daniel Richards Celebrant. Burial with full military honors presented by the Adams County Allied Veterans will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass, Monday morning at the church.
