Russell F. Staton, Sr., 78, of Gettysburg, PA died Saturday morning, March 23, 2024 at his home.
Born October 11, 1945 in Rock Bridge, Virginia he was the son of the late Jesse and Lida Mae (Noel) Staton. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Tharpe) Staton who passed May of 2010.
Mr. Staton worked for many years as a truck driver for Chronister Trucking. He enjoyed fixing cars and playing with his dogs Pokey and Gumbi.
Russell is survived by his five children, Laura Rexroth, of Fayetteville, PA, Monica Smith and her husband Gerald, of Hanover, PA, Lisa McKinsey and her husband Matthew, of Gettysburg, PA, Russell Staton, Jr. and his wife Kim, of Gettysburg, PA, Edward Monroe and his significant other Samantha, of Gettysburg, PA, 27 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, his two sisters, Maxine Lonas, Katherine Mellinger, and his brother, Larry Staton. He was preceded in death by his son, William Monroe, his brother Jesse James Staton, and his two sisters, Geraldine Cash, and Barbara Barhehouse.
