Ruth C. Millhimes, 84, of Gettysburg, PA died Friday evening, March 18, 2016 at her home.
Born January 3, 1932 in Gettysburg she was the daughter of the late Orville and Ruth (Shultz) Jacoby. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Millhimes who died in 2012.
Ruth was a woman of strong faith. She was an active member in the Gettysburg Church of the Brethren and she was the church financial secretary. She worked for 45 years at C.H. She was an active volunteer at the Brethren Home in Cross Keys where she was a member of their auxiliary. She loved helping others, and in her free time she enjoyed crocheting, crafting, walking, exercising, and traveling. She had an adventurous spirit and will be greatly missed.
Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Beverly Redding and her husband J.R. Winston, of Gettysburg, Wanda Millhimes, of Mechanisburg, a granddaughter, Sabrina Zemo and her husband Joseph, three great grandchildren, Samantha Warrenfeltz, Crystal Warrenfeltz, Edward Warrenfeltz, and two sisters, Hazel Jacoby, of Gettysburg and Helen Kelly, of Orrtanna.
