Obituary for Ruth R. Kelley
Ruth R. Kelley, 97, McAllister Mill Road, Gettysburg, PA died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Transitions Healthcare.
She was born April 23, 1920 in Orrtanna, PA the daughter of the late Paul L. and Ellen Funt Plank, Sr. Ruth’s husband Cecil R. Kelley died in 1980.
Mrs. Kelley was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Gettysburg, PA. For many years she was a bookkeeper for various businesses in the area and later retired from Toby’s Dress Shop. Ruth loved her flowers and was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed traveling to visit her family and friends.
Mrs. Kelley is survived by a daughter, Nancy Reichart and her husband R. Edward of Littlestown, PA, three sons; Glenn Kelley and his wife Rosemary of Gettysburg, PA, Steve Kelley and his wife Carol of Gettysburg, PA, Richard Kelley and his wife Darlene of Gettysburg, PA, 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, a sister, Birdie May Wetzel. She was predeceased by two sons; Robert Kelley, Roger Kelley, a daughter, Arlene Kelley and brother and sisters; Charles Plank, Eleanor Gay Hoffman, Paul L. Plank, II, Mary Ellen Shultz, Shirley Ann Plank.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. Interment will be in Flohr’s Cemetery, McKnightstown, PA. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
